History

I began my legal career in 1996 after graduation from Chicago-Kent College of Law and I have had broad experience since that time.  I have represented clients both from the Petitioner and Respondent perspective.   In addition, I have provided consulting services in information flows and risk management to self insured companies.  My primary experience, however, has been in defending employers throughout Illinois against workers' compensation cases brought by injured workers.  My range of experience has proven to be an asset, allowing me to analyze cases and their potential exposure from multiple perspectives.  Doing so assists me in anticipating arguments to be made and the opportunities those arguments may provide.

I have spent the last 8 years providing legal defense services in a large corporate staff legal setting.  As with any corporate environment, there were demands placed upon my time which I felt detracted from the zealous representation of my client.  I thought I could do better.
